Ok so it really isn't. It a Saint Louis Hoagie but living in PA, Pittsburg was as close as I got to it and it put me in mind
of one I ate there.
Ingredients:
Sandwich:
12 ounce hoagie roll, sliced lengthwise [I use Cubian]
3-4 tablespoons sauce
2 ounces sliced ham
2 ounces sliced roast beef
2 ounces Genoa salami
2 ounces good quality cheese
Lettuce
Tomato
Dill pickle slices
Sliced sweet onion
4 pepperoncini
Sauce:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons prepared hot mustard
1 tablespoon horseradish
1 tablespoon finely minced green onion
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
Procedure:
Mix the sauce.
Assemble Sandwich
Layer Sandwich as desired. Add veggies to it as desired.
Top with special sauce.
Serving Size:
recipe makes one hoagie.
sauce enough for 4 hoagies
