Add what you like to this. Herbs, spices, cheeses. Note this will make a scone like biscuit. If you don't have a clue what
a scone is, first you are missing something and second, google it.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups spelt flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F and liberally grease a baking sheet.
Mix dry ingredients, then gently stir in buttermilk until just blended.
Drop by the spoonful onto greased baking sheet.
Bake for about 10 to 13 minutes, or until golden.
Gluten free: replace the spelt flour with quinoa flour.
If you don't have buttermilk use 1 cup Yogurt OR
1 cup Whole or fat free milk (I use skim) mixed with 1 tbsp Lemon juice or 1 tbsp vinegar
