You can mix the dry ingredients for this ahead and store in an airtight container. When ready to make simply add the
liquid ingredients. It's from an old Brinser's Best Cornmeal recipe
Dry Ingredients:
3/4 cup corn meal 3/4 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 level tsp baking powder
Wet Ingredients: 1/4 cup butter or other shortening, melted 1 egg 3/4 cup milk
Procedure:
Mix all ingredients together and bake in an 8 inch square pan or in muffin tins. Bake at 350F for 25 to 30
minutes.
