Jessie's Key Lime Pie

This recipe was from the Local Penn Lines for this month.  It is a rural electric co-op.

8 large tart apples, peeled and sliced
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup flour
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup melted butter
 
Slice apple in a greased 9X13 inch baking pan.  Combine cinnamon and brown sugar. Sprinkle half on top of the apples.
 
Combine remaining ingredients except for the butter.  Spread over the apple slices.  Sprinkle remaining brown sugar mix on top and Pour melted butter over the top.  Bake at 350F for 40 minutes or until bubbly and the crust is browned and apples are tender.
 
Serves about 10
